Diana Frances Spencer was born into a British aristocracy on July 1, 1961 at Park House, Sandringham in Norfolk, England. Her life was to receive a different light when she married Prince Charles on July 29, 1981. While this marriage was to give her access to many paths to forge her career, it also limited her potential. Fearful not to endanger her children's careers, she had to limit herself to charitable work, and not to venture into politics.
